Petőfi Sándor Theatre, Veszprém
The Dashwood sisters apparently think in a starkly different way about the relationship between a man and a woman. Elinor, the elder one, dreams about true, faithful, peaceful, “sensible” family, while her sister, Marianne, is waiting for emotional, pathetic, overwhelming love. What they agree on is that they should get married as soon as possible! But it does not seem to be so easy in the full gossips, schemes and while still firmly attached to the traditions, conservative aristocrat world in the middle of the English province, where the lawn is not always perfectly cut, and it’s pouring with rain all the time…
Jane Austen’s world-famous novel is considered to be notable cult writing. The story about the secret of a human being could be entertaining in an English way and revealing – bringing out essential community problems at the same time, and is even more encouraged by the movie!
In Hungary it will be presented for the first time!
